Privacy Policy

At PetDiet we take the privacy of your data and the security of your pet's information seriously. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have over it.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information essential to the service:

• Registration: email, name, phone (optional) and encrypted password, or authentication via Google Sign-In or Facebook Login.
• Pet profile: species, breed, sex, age, current weight, ideal weight, body condition, activity level, reproductive status, special conditions (spay/neuter, gestation, lactation).
• History: weight logs, nutritional plans, food scans, exercise sessions and approximate location (only during GPS exercise tracking and only in Premium Plan).
• Billing: handled by Google Play and App Store. PetDiet does not store credit card data.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Calculate energy requirements and personalized nutritional profiles.
• Generate homemade diets via artificial intelligence (Google Gemini).
• Analyze commercial food images to extract nutritional information.
• Manage your session, subscriptions and purchases.
• Send notifications about weight plans, exercise and updates (optional).
• Anonymous technical diagnostics and service improvement.

3. Third-Party Services

PetDiet uses the following third-party services that may process your information:

• Firebase (Google): authentication, data storage, hosting and cloud functions.
• Google Sign-In / Facebook Login: optional authentication.
• Google Gemini AI: diet generation and food image analysis.
• Google Play / App Store: subscription and purchase management.
• RevenueCat: cross-platform subscription management.
• Google AdMob: advertising in Free Plan.

4. Storage and Security

All information is hosted in Firebase, with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are stored encrypted via Firebase Authentication.

5. Advertising and Cookies

The Free Plan shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect anonymous data for ad personalization according to its own policies. The web landing uses minimal technical and analytical cookies.

6. User Rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time:

• Access your data from within the app.
• Correct incorrect information from your profile.
• Delete your account and associated data from within the app or by writing to support@petdiet.app.
• Export your data in a readable format (upon request to support@petdiet.app).
• Revoke consent for data processing.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. After deletion, data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except records required for legal or billing obligations.

8. Minors

PetDiet is not directed at children under 16. If we detect an account created by a minor without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to this Policy

We will notify substantial changes via email or within the app at least 30 days in advance.
